The last decade has seen major reforms in commercial laws. The most significant of them has been the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 and Reserve Bank of India (Prudential Framework on the resolution of stressed assets) Directions, 2019. Both restructuring and insolvency transactions involve complex economic and operational issues, which needs to be identified and addressed, without losing sight of the commercial objectives of the transaction in order to be able to deliver effective legal advice and support on complicated restructuring and insolvency transactions.
